Sedgley Park 2nds 31 Fylde Hawks 27

Fylde Hawks lost their NOWIRUL Premier unbeaten league record in a tense battle at Sedgley Park on Saturday. Nevertheless, they retain their top of the table position.

Hawks Coach Dominic Moon reports: “This was a great game for a neutral! We started slowly and gave them a little bit to much respect in the 1st half. We went in at half time at 14-7 down. A Joe Probert score kept us in the fight. We had a re-group at the break and came out for the 2nd half with energy and a real genuine hunger to improve. It was a storming performance to fight back and to take Sedgley all the way. Hopefully, as a result, we’ll grow in confidence and be ready for the visit of 2nd placed unbeaten Caldy 2nds at the Woodlands on Saturday.”

Try scorers were Joe Probert (2), George Brookes and Charlie Partington.
