Fylde U11s will play a curtain raiser against their good friends, Vale of Lune U11s prior to the 1st XV game v Rotherham Titans with a 12 noon KO for an hour. Please try to get to the Woodlands early to support the lads!
Both teams have played regularly through the age groups, and usually play each other in pre-season friendlies to get up to speed for the coming season as well. Both the players and coaches having a great friendship – even though we all like to win on match day!
Fylde U11s, will be slightly hampered on the day due to the Entrance exams going on at AKS School with a number of boys and our head coach missing due to this, but we’re sure it will still be a good competitive session.
On completion, Vale of Lune are giving a send off to one of their lads who is playing his last game for them before moving abroad. Ben Elliot has played for them since the U6s and is jetting off abroad due to his Dad’s job. On completion of the games Bill/Josh Beaumont is going to present Ben with a Trophy and leaving gift.
Vale are also bringing a coach of 42 parents to watch the first team game afterwards …. obviously supporting Fylde!! Boys from both teams will act as ball boys for the first team game as well, and their coaches will be entertained in the clubhouse.
