The Players’ Dinner Awards on Saturday went really well and was attended by over 80 players. A first class meal and service were provided by Naomi, Heather and chef Danny.

After pre drinks after the game and traditional naked laps for players who hadn’t scored a try during the season, the celebrations moved upstairs.

Fylde Vandals

  • Manager’s Player of the Year went to JAMES FREEMAN
  • Players’ Player of the Year was BAZ TUCKER

Fylde Saracens

  • Manager’s Players of the Year – ROB KING
  • Player’s POTY – HARVEY BURGESS

Both of these young players have had an excellent season and are key members of a more settled looking squad.

Fylde Hawks

  • Coach’s Player of the Year was ETHAN HULME
  • Players’ Player of the Year was SAM FISHER

Ethan has impressed both in training and during games and has developed well as a young prop. Sam Fisher was having a fantastic season until he was cruelly injured playing against Hoppers. Both players featured for the 1st XV this season and Sam was a runaway leader for his award.

Captain Ben Gregory gave a number of gifts to the coaches, lead therapist – MOLLY HART-RYAN and the background staff.

Awards to the 1st and Hawks XV were handed out by head coaches Alex Loney and Chris Briers.

  • Coaches’ Award went to MATT STURGESS for the number of excellent performances he put in throughout the season.
  • The Players’ Player of the Year was a very close affair but went to a very worthy recipient in OLLI PARKINSON. He is recognised as the engine room of the forwards who puts in the hard yards week in, week out.

This was an excellent sign off for a successful season for many at the club and the players returned to the downstairs bar to continue the evening up to midnight.
