NEWS RELEASE FROM FYLDE RUGBY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
[Girls & women’s rugby is a fast expanding part of our great game. With interest being generated in schools and clubs, it’s imperative that there are opportunities to play more and join our fantastic sporting community!]
On Saturday 25th June, the Fylde Rugby Community Foundation is running a ‘Queens Jubilee Girls Rugby Pitch Up and Play’ festival at Fylde RFC which has been funded by the National Lottery.
It is aimed at girls in the U13’s and U15’s age group (ages 11 to 15 from 1st September 2021 until 31st August 2022). It is open for all abilities so whether they’re a regular player, only played at school or has never tried it – there will be activities to suit all abilities.
Registration is at 10:00am for players, which is then followed by training workshops in the morning. During the lunch break, we’ll have some mini competitions throughout before going into a tournament in the afternoon.
Entry is completely free with lunch and refreshments provided for all players!
