Fylde make three changes in their starting line-up for the trip to Lymm on Saturday (ko 14.15). In the pack, Tye Raymont is at tighthead and Matt Garrod at lock. Amongst the backs, Ben Turner returns on the wing.
This will be Fylde’s first visit to the Crouchley Lane Ground at 1st XV National League level following Lymm’s promotion at the end of last season. Despite losing at home to Wharfedale last Saturday, Fylde remain in 4th place in N2(N) whilst Lymm are in 9th.
Fylde supporters will remember the agonising defeat to the Cheshire club at the Woodlands on 30th September when a last minute score secured a 14-15 victory for the visitors. It was a foul, wet day and Lymm played the condisions perfectly, guided by their influential fly-half Tom Shard. He kicked perfectly throughout and landed the coup de grâce with a 78th minute dropped goal.
Lymm have an artificial grass pitch and these conditions could suit Fylde if their attack is firing on all cylinders.
