Fylde U’9s capped off their incredible debut season in contact rugby with a dominant performance at the Harrogate tournament! Both our well-stocked teams displayed unwavering determination throughout the competition, going undefeated with a perfect record of 8 wins from 8 games.
This magnificent display left the coaches immensely proud. The U9s faced some tightly contested and physical matches, but they consistently rose to the challenge, showcasing exceptional character and teamwork to secure the results they thoroughly deserved. Their team spirit and discipline throughout the tournament were truly exemplary.
This was the U9s’ first foray into a contact rugby season. Since September, the boys and girls have grown tremendously. Contact rugby presents a steep learning curve, but the players have adapted remarkably well. Their progression has been outstanding, further fuelled by the addition of Tuesday evening training sessions. This commitment is building a skilled, strong, and resilient team that we can all be proud of.
The Fylde U9s consistently impressed throughout the season, particularly during away matches against Grasshoppers and Wilmslow, as well as their home game against the touring Mold team from Wales. Closing the season with such a dominant performance at Harrogate serves as a huge confidence boost for the players as they head into next season. We can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
