Fylde make nine changes in their squad to face Halifax-based Heath RUFC at the Woodlands on Saturday (ko 15.00). There are five changes in the pack, with Chris Rudkin at prop, Matt Garrod at lock, Mike Walton & Harry Marsh in the backrow along with the heralded return of skipper Toby Harrison who has been out of action since February through injury.
In the backs, there’s the return of other injured players – Leo Gilliland is on the wing and Dan Slawson is back at fly-half. New signing Cam(eron) Brown forms a fresh centre partnership with Aaron Pope, and Owain Williams (formerly with Preston Grasshoppers), now on loan from Sale FC, is on the wing.
There is also a strong set of replacements featuring five players who have lots of senior experience – King, Williamson, Morgan, Quinn and Cassidy.
Saturday’s double bill at the Woodlands sees Fylde Vandals entertaining Widnes 2nds in the NOWIRUL 1st Division. They kick-off at 14.15 ahead of the 1st XV match.
