It’s a double header at the Woodlands on Saturday (20th Jan). An unusual although excellent occasion sees Fylde v Wharfedale RUFC at 1st and 2nd team level. Whilst the 1sts are on the main pitch, the Hawks take on Wharfedale Foresters on the top pitch in a friendly (ko 14.20).

The Foresters compete in the YRFU & NE Premiership. Foresters’ Manager, Matt Shuttleworth says: “The Foresters of Wharfedale have had a mixed season up to now, some hard fought wins, some close loses and a heavy defeat up a strong Tynedale side early season.
We bounced back well though with victories against Driffield and Heath RUFC particular highlights. Seeing the development of some Colts graduating to senior level has been the key for us this season.
We look forward to coming to Fylde, a place as a second XV we haven’t been to for some time. It should be an enjoyable afternoon of Rugby.”
The Hawks have also had an up and down season but have picked up very well since November, with five wins in their last six fixtures.
