Following some appearances for his local club Wharfedale, powerful prop forward Peter Altham joined Fylde in the 2009-10 season. He soon made the tighthead position his own before moving to Preston Grasshoppers in January 2014 where he had a very successful spell, notching up some 170 appearances. He re-joined Fylde in the 2022-23 season to popular acclaim amongst the Fylde faithful. And you can add in more than 30 appearances for Lancashire and his native Yorkshire County senior teams!
He’ll make his 150th appearance for the Club if he comes on as a replacement v Harrogate. Peter has proved a powerful, hard working, technically skilled and incredibly durable tighthead prop over a long career. He’s also developed as an excellent coach and has worked for Myerscough College on their rugby programmes in the last seven years.
