Fylde Hawks maintained their perfect 100% record in the NOWIRUL Premier Division on Saturday with a hard earned 38-21 victory at Lymm 2nds. They continue to head the Division by points difference over Caldy 2nds.
Hawks Coach Steve Gough reports: “Not one of our better performances but the lads found a way to secure another bonus point win at a tough Lymm side who never gave up. 1st half play was mainly centred around mistakes and missed opportunities from the Hawks and it took a while before we got our act together.
“Losing 21-19 at the break, the boys found a way to click into gear and went on to score all 19 points in the 2nd half, shutting out a dangerous Lymm backline.
“A tough game was just what we wanted in preparation for another tough home game this weekend v Sedgley Park.
Hawks tries were scored by Pissarra, Slawson (2), Livesey and Macauley (2). Conversions by Slawson and Pissarra (3).
