It was great to see two lads originally from West Yorkshire who had moved on to Sale Sharks Academy, via Fylde RFC, having excellent games for England U’20s v Scotland in the World Rugby U20 Championship in Verona, Italy.

Lock Tom Burrow, also the skipper of the team, and prop Tye Raymont did their bit in England’s 56-19 victory over the Scots in incredibly hot Italian weather. Tye managed 65 minutes in the heat of the front row battle.

Burrow made 9 appearances in Fylde’s 1st XV and Rayment 19 in the 2023-24 season. Let’s hope that both fulfill their undoubted talent and progress to full England honours.
