Every weekend, they carry the weight of the game — boots pounding, tackles landing, memories being made. From the senior sides battling it out, to over 450 young players taking their first steps into rugby, those three pitches are more than grass … they’re the lifeblood of the club.
But right now, they need help.
Years of wear, tear, and tight finances have taken their toll. The improvements these pitches desperately need have had to wait.
Until now.
Because something big is coming to Fylde Rugby Club… something bold, brilliant — and just a little bit bonkers.
On Saturday 18th April, after the final whistle blows on the season, the club will attempt its biggest fundraiser in history. One goal: raise £50,000 and transform the future of Fylde Rugby.
And leading the charge?
A Highland bullock named Hugo 🐂
The pitch will be split into 9,400 squares. Supporters can buy a square for just £5. Then, Hugo will be released.
Wherever Hugo makes his mark … that square wins.
Simple. Unpredictable. Unforgettable.
With prizes up for grabs — including 10% of the total pot for first place — and the potential to raise over £40,000 if every square sells, it’s more than just a bit of fun.
It’s a chance to rebuild the very foundation of the club.
Because this isn’t just about grass and goalposts.
- It’s about giving young players a place to grow.
- It’s about backing the community that stands behind the badge.
- It’s about securing the future of Fylde Rugby Club for years to come.
So now it’s over to you.
Buy a square.
Share the story.
Be part of something special.
Because when a community comes together — anything is possible.
