Another backrow Lancastrian talent signs for Fylde. Welcome James Robinson!
Backrower, normally no 8, James Robinson is another product of the Vale of Lune development pipeline having progressed through the club’s Mini-Juniors, Colts and eventually to the 1st XV. He gained representative honours for Lancashire at U’14s, 15s, 16s, 17s and 20s levels, and was also part of the Sale Sharks Academy at U’17s & U’18s.
He was a student at Kirkham Grammar between 2013-15 before moving on to Leeds Beckett University for the period 2015-18 where he achieved a BA in Physical Education, and a PGCE at the University of Birmingham in 2020-21.
James played occasionally for the Hawks in the 2016-17 season when he left KGS. He then returned to play for the Vale of Lune 1st XV. He’s now teaching Business Studies and PE at KGS.
