Fylde travel to Clifton Lane to face Rotherham Titans on Saturday (ko 14.00) for their toughest challenge of the season so far. The Lancastrians have yet to win on this ground in four attempts, in 1995-6, 1997-8, 1998-9 and 2021-22. On top of that, Roth have won three out of the four games at the Woodlands, with only Fylde’s 21-17 victory in January this year bucking the trend.
Despite losing a very close battle at Yorkshire rivals Hull Ionians in September, Roth sit in 3rd place in National Two (North), four points behind league leaders Fylde.
Fylde make four changes to their starting line-up for their trip to meet Rotherham Titans Rugby Club at Clifton Lane on Saturday (ko 14.00).
Amongst the backs, Tom Grimes is named in his usual left wing berth whilst Peter Altham makes his first start of the season at tighthead prop. The backrow shows two changes with the return after injury of flanker Toby Harrison and the second starting appearance of Henry Higginson at open side. England U18s star Tristan Woodman switches to no 8.
A very strong bench backs up the starting 15.
The Titans line-up is:
15 Sam Veall, 14 Jack Hedley, 13 Lloyd Hayes, 12 Harry Dunne, 11 Jack Taylor, 10 Corben Ollivent, 9 Sam Boxhall, 1 Charlie Capps, 2 Jack Bergmanas, 3 Gareth Denman, 4 Zak Poole (Capt.), 5 Matt Challinor, 6 Marcus Payne, 7 Rupert Kay, 8 Callum Bustin.
Replacements: 16 Louis Inman, 17 Danny Rylance, 18 Alastair Donkor, 19 Theo Nwosu-Hope, 20 Kai Ramrattan.
