Six well matched teams face off in the final round of league games on Saturday. Fylde’s 1st XV travel to Sheffield Tigers‘ beautiful Dore Moor Ground (ko 15.00). The visitors have secured at least 5th place in National Two (North) whilst the Tigers are two places below and have twelve points fewer league points. This is the reverse fixture of the opening day of the 2023-24 seson and the relative equality of the two squads resulted in an exciting 26-all draw. Fylde will be looking to improve on their recent sequence of 3 defeats in 4 matches away from the Woodlands.
In the NOWIRUL Premier division, Fylde Hawks look to build on a strong showing at Rossendale 2nds last Saturday when they face their fourth away match in succession when they visit Lymm 2nds. Lymm are in 9th place in the division, the Hawks in 7th.
Finally, Fylde Vandals welcome Clitheroe 2nds to the Woodlands (ko 15.00) to complete their 2023-24 campaign in NOWIRUL Division 3 (North). The Vandals are 5th in the league whilst their opponents are 2 places lower. A victory for the Vandals would elevate them to a final place of 3rd. Needless to say, the lads would appreciate a decent crowd to wave them off into the close season!
