Fylde gives a very warm welcome to versatile back five forward Greg Morgan who joins the 1st squad for the upcoming 2024-25 National Two (North) season.
Greg joins Fylde from Sedgley Park where he learnt his rugby from the age of 8 years old and progressed through the age group teams, Colts, 2nd XV and to the 1st XV squad for whom he’s made 13 National League appearances.
He was part of the Sedge squad which won promotion to National One in the 2022-23 season and was part of the 2nd XV which won the Robinson Brewery Cup in 2019 and the NOWIRUL Premier League Cup in 2023. He also earned representative honours for Lancashire ’18s.
He also played for the very successful Manchester Metropolitan University BUCS squad for the three years whilst studying Mechanical Engineering.
He’s 6’2″ and 106kgs, and has played most often at no 8 but also at lock and blindside flanker.
On the decision to sign for Fylde Greg said: “I want a new challenge and I’m all for a new way of rugby to help my development. Fylde is a great club with a rich history and I am looking forward to get started.”
Greg has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and he currently works as a Calibration Engineer.
