Sale Sharks Academy has a Player Development Group (PDG), the first stage on the pathway towards the professional game and aims to develop the best local talent aged 14-16 years old. The focus is around individual player development, with playing opportunities through inter-team festivals at Under 15 and playing competitive fixtures at Under 16.
The PDG is organised into regional hubs – East Cheshire, West Cheshire, Central Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside & North Lancashire.
We are delighted that Fylde U’15s Team Manager Gary has reported that eleven of the U15s squad have got into the Sale PDG following nomination from the Club and subsequent assessment by Academy staff.
